These electronic cylinders can be used on their own or integrated with our series 7 or series 8 mechanical cylinders.

The 9 series cylinders have all of the standard benefits of the standard mechanical cylinders with the added advantage of a re programmable microchip which is located within the key bow.

When a key is inserted into a cylinder the ‘reader’ within quickly works out if it is authorised or not. If the key is mechanically and electronically compatible with the cylinder it will open in the normal manner.

• The microchip located within the key bow also acts as a proximity fob when used with the wall readers which can be integrated within the system on high traffic doors

• The microchip is compatible with other applications such as cashless vending, PC log on etc.

• Systems can be programmed using programming keys, a hand held programmer or PC based software

• The integration of the mechanical and electronic technologies results in the cylinders being very high security with the keys virtually impossible to copy.

• Cylinders are ‘stand alone’ and do not need to be hard wired

• Battery packs are morticed into the door like a lock and can be located at the top or hinge side of the door if required

• Long battery life of 50,000

• A separate battery pack means that the cylinder appearance is very similar to a standard one and does away with unsightly large turns common to other systems
